A unique and exciting STEM venture, the LEGO Maritime Project, has received a flood of extra support thanks to Seawork.

The LEGO Maritime Project provides a unique platform for students to gain hands-on experience in design, building, and coding alongside industry experts; inspiring them to consider their future career paths.

Created with a focus on shipbuilding specifically for Seawork Careers Day, the LEGO Maritime Project features ports, ships, cranes all built in LEGO in a realistic simulation of the Solent – representing its essential maritime operators and businesses and highlighting the opportunities available in the marine industry.

Exhibitors and visitors alike were captivated by the project, ably led by LEGO Education Academy Trainer Stephen G Shaw.  Seawork exhibitors signing up to show off their possibilities include Berthon, Chartwell Marine, BMT, National Shipbuilding Office NSO, Actisense, Serco, the RFA, and the Royal Navy. Visitors also saw the potential with transportation specialists, marketeers, and multinational logistics companies all pledging support.
