Nova Shipyard has launched Inis Oir Express, the second passenger vessel it has built for Irish operator, Doolin Ferry.
The vessel was launched earlier this week at the shipyard in Istanbul, with sea trials and preparations for delivery the next stages in the process.
Like her sister vessel, the Cliffs of Moher Express (NB111), Inis Oirr Express is built in aluminium and designed for European passenger vessel regulations. Both vessels were designed by French naval architecture firm Mer et Design.
Nova Shipyard says the Cliffs of Moher Express is the largest and most advanced vessel to operate from Doolin, operating sightseeing excursions and high-frequency tourist shuttle services.
The latest launch marks another milestone in the partnership between Doolin Ferry and Nova Shipyard, a specialist commercial workboat builder serving international markets and a first-time exhibitor at Seawork earlier this year.
