Mercator Media, the organiser of Seawork, has become a strategic industry partner with Maritime Solent ahead of the 21st edition of the GreenPort Congress, to be held 7–9 October 2026 in Portsmouth, UK.
Stuart Baker, CEO Maritime Solent, said,” Seawork has long been a cornerstone event for the commercial marine industry, and our partnership with Mercator Media provides Maritime Solent with an exceptional opportunity to champion the businesses, skills and innovation that make the Solent such a globally recognised maritime hub.
“By collaborating we can help create new opportunities for our Partners, strengthen industry connections and support the sustainable growth of the maritime sector”.
GreenPort Congress will be one of the first events to feature the new partnership. Ports are committing to electrification, but many are now hitting the same barrier: the commercial and operational reality is harder, slower, and more expensive than expected. GreenPort Congress session “Energy, electrification and net zero delivery in ports” focuses on what ports and operators are actually doing now to implement electrification and what is proving difficult in practice.
Commenting on the forthcoming GreenPort Congress, Stuart added, “This event provides an important platform for bringing together industry leaders, ports, technology providers and policymakers to address the challenges and opportunities of decarbonisation.
“As a region at the forefront of maritime innovation, the Solent is the ideal location to host these conversations, and we look forward to helping showcase the expertise and ambition that exists across our maritime community.”
