About the Speaker
Fay Reeve is Seawork Exhibition Director, having spent the last 18 years growing with the event – from joining as an Operations Assistant to becoming Operations Manager, Exhibition Manager and now Exhibition Director.
Her career has given her a very hands-on understanding of both the events industry and the commercial marine sector, working closely with operators, exhibitors, associations, government bodies and industry leaders to develop Seawork and its programme.
Fay was closely involved in the move from Seawork’s original home at the Fruit Terminal to Mayflower Park and has built strong relationships across the commercial marine community along the way. She brings an honest, practical and creative perspective to industry discussions, with a particular focus on making sure the conversation is relevant to the people actually operating and working in the sector.

Funding the Future Fleet
How workboats are financed, owned and accessible to market is changing. This session examines the growing range of options available to operators, from traditional ownership to emerging leasing models. The discussion will explore whether these alternatives support sector growth and reduce the financial burden on operators, while considering the implications on asset security, insurance and investment. With increasing pressure for flexibility across the maritime sector, the panel will debate whether current finance structures are keeping pace with the needs of the modern workboat industry and whether there are sufficient specialist funding options available to support sustainable growth.
Session format: A live, audience-led discussion featuring regular panellists Debbie Mason, Fay Reeve, Andy Page and Kerrie Forster, joined by guest speaker Peter Curtis of Diverse Marine. The session will build on the ongoing series of conversations, with the panel sharing practical experience, differing perspectives and current market insight before opening the discussion to questions from the audience.
This is a live in-person event, held at The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate, Yorkshire.
This session forms part of the Workboat Association AGM programme, however non-association members are welcome to attend this Get Set for Workboat 2050 session.
