A 54% reduction in operational carbon emissions and investment in marina facilities are among the developments highlighted by MDL Marinas as it retains three internationally recognised ISO certifications.

The certifications cover quality management (ISO 9001), environmental management (ISO 14001) and occupational health and safety (ISO 45001).

Its recent investments include a new 35-tonne boat hoist at Northney, alongside improvements to customer facilities at Penton Hook and the marina office and roadways at Hamble Point.

Staff training has also been expanded through a bespoke water safety and cold-water immersion programme developed with Vitae V.

MDL also reports a reduction in operational carbon emissions by 54% between 2022 and 2025, as it continues to invest in renewable energy and  waste management.

James Barnes, managing director at MDL Marinas, comments, “Becoming the first UK marina operator to achieve all three ISO certifications was a significant milestone for MDL, and retaining them is something we're extremely proud of.”

“Maintaining all three takes a real team effort, and this achievement is testament to the hard work and dedication of our colleagues across MDL, who continue to find ways to improve how we operate.”
